Clovis Library

As you may have read recently, the City will be building a new library on the NE Corner of Third Street and Clovis Avenue.

We are exploring whether a new library could be part of an entire complex that could bring people (and tax dollars) to Clovis. In short, have the new library be part of a “learning/kids campus" comprised of:

• County Library
• Exploratorium (along the lines of the one in San Francisco)
• Senior Center
• Rec Center

...all on one site...

Such a campus could be a magnet -- drawing families from throughout the San Joaquin Valley to come and spend a day doing family activities – and reinforcing Clovis’ identity as a family-friendly and learning-oriented community.

Can this happen? We’re not sure...but we are exploring the possibilities...
